ummm. both the 1.3.0 and 1.3.6 uktemplate use the over-ride facility and I would expect them to take presedence over the core files ... so that's working fine.
The folder names used in the UK template 1.3.6 are different to 1.3.0.
So ... i would guess that you can upload the 1.3.6 files with out issue and them apply your customisations (if any) to them.
Then run a diff on the 1.3.0 sql file against the 1.3.6 sql file and just apply the differences.
You can download the UK 1.3.6 files at the original download page
hope that helps
Kev
It's the first time I've come across this.
Are all of your images optimized?
Are you calling info from outside of your domain?
What's the url?
Thanks
Kev
P.S. There is nothing in the UK template that would cause this.
If only our clients knew
Hi Jan,
I can't shed light personally but there may be some other brave souls who visit who can.
BTW - nice design job!
FYI - I'm not having the problem you are in respect of the next/previous function. I started at Bill N 1 and went all the way through to Bill P.
I use FF.
Good luck and don't forget to post this question in the main Zen Cart forums.
Kev
It sure does Rob, Thanks.
I've been cracking my own mail for years and never sent spam or been listed as fas as I know. And I do check ... often
It can only be the headers, a word I've used or the html usage in the email.
I'm guessing that'd be outlook ... or are you a thunderbird type of guy?
Thanks again for the feedback.
Roll on direct to desk-top messaging
Kev
LOL - I'd be interested to know what triggered it as spam.
Was it your ISP that filtered it or a personal trigger on your PC?
I'm guessing if you suffered then others will too - sometimes I hate ISP's
thanks
Kev
Hi, You subscribed to the list from the box on the front page of the website?
That's for my mag (when I get time to send it out
)
you can get the ZC 1.3.6 download from
www.mutualadvantage.co.uk/zc
If you subscribed from here you need to confirm your email address by clicking on the link in the 'confirmation email' the system would have sent you.
If you didn't get it - check your spam filters.

My Nan used to say don't fix something that works.
Zen cart is excellent because there is a development path. It has a future.
If your shop is already doing what you want it to do. It's working. If it's making money - it's working. Don't fix it.
If however you want to improve the way your cart works, then build with the latest version as your 'core'.
The key to any update is the database. If you just think of Zen Cart as the 'template wrapper' that helps you profit from your data, I think you will be on the right track.
The ZC core team said that the 1.3.x version was what versions would need to be running, if you wanted to upgrade your business when they were released.
As long as we have the 1.3.x db structure we should be OK whatever we decide.
Hi all,
I recieved this email request from Henry who used the UK template and I've posted it here so we can all help try and find an answer.
notice that you include Republic of Ireland address in SQL file. I would like to ask you a help on correctly display Irish language. We have some customers from republic of Ireland, and there is a problem to display the address correctly. There is a character "
Hi Steve,
This is a question I've asked myself.
I've updated two sites now from 135 to 136 and it is a time consuming task.
With some of the other sites, for the time being all I have done is applied the security patches.
It is a matter of personal choice but as and when time permits I will be upgrading from 135 to 136 and THEN I'll make a decision for the next ZC update.
Hope that helps
Kev
LOL -
It ...
adds UK spelling and removes americanisation.
adds all of the UK counties to your database for the UK as a whole.
adds Scotland, Wales, England, NI, CI to the countries list and then adds the counties in those countires.
Adds the ROI counties to ROI.
(this was added as some businesses only want to deal with a local comunity - therefore you could remove everything else you didn't want to make it easy to sign up)
It adds the VAT zones to the UK and sets the VAT rate. (chanel Islands don't have VAT)
It sets the address to display as we expect in the UK (not how the yanks do it)
Sets the UK as the default country of sign up.
Prepopulates the Template with boxes.
... I think thats about it.
Hope this helps
Kev
Hi Rob
Short of a custom programming job I would probably hack what is already available to do the job.
As yours is a local site you have no need for any counties other than yours (I assume) so you can clean up your data base and leave only what you need.
You deliver to three postcode areas so you 'could' change the counties fields into designated 'postcode' delivary areas.
Then download the MZMT shipping contrib and set up your three zones using it. (swap the counties for the post codes) and set the correct price for the zone.
If people try to beat the system call them back to confirm the order (nice touch anyway) and ask them to have the extra 50p delivery charge ready or send them a nochex bill for the difference.
Alternativly ask if Philips Royal Mail contrib could be modded to do what you want as it is based on MZMT.

Just a few thoughts - hope they help
Kev
Thanks for that. I'll alter the sql file.
Kev
Simply Put - I'm not sure because I don't know what you have done already and to what files.
Loading the files 'shouldn't' cause a problem.
Loading the full sql file 'may' cause a problem.
Simply backup your db and the site files and try it to see.
Alternatively email me and for a small fee I can do it for you.
Hope that helps
Kev
P.S. Sorry I can't be more specific. I just don't know what mods have been made and to what files.
P.P.S. You would need to copy the files into your exisiting 'template' directory.
Hi Alan,
Two things jump to mind:
1. Is this a brand new 1.3.5 install of Zen Cart? - This beta is not designed for upgrades.
2. The UK template (as far as I know
) does not change anything to do with manufacturers. Hvae you checked your paths or changed the template folder?
By deafault the UK template default template is 'your_template' - you may not have changed the names of all the folders.
HTH
Kev
If it's a fresh install there's no problem at all. Are you using the new ZC 1.3.5 with the old UKZC template?
The old UKZC template is not compatible with the new ZC 1.3.5 !!!!!
I have had a 1.3.5 Beta out for days now and unless you were on the mailing list, you can't currently download it.
Can you tell me which version you were trying to install?
Kev
Not Yet Mamie - sorry.
I've been working on the 1.3.5 beta and for some clients. Time is so short.
Fisrts things first: Did you do a back-up of your files and database?
If you did it's simple to get back to where you were.
If not .... what 'blunder' can I assist with?
Kev
There were some changes to the files used in 1.3.5 UKZC. This is why I said in the readme "I do NOT recommend anyone uses this to perform an upgrade."
I'm glad you sorted this out - I'll look at a way of modifying ZC135 Beta to give an upgrade option.
Kev
It's a template for a near tableless template.
If that makes sense?
Kev
Hi David and welcome to the forum.
The beta release you've downloaded is currently under test and I do NOT recommend anyone uses this to perform an upgrade. I have primarily released the beta so that UK business has an option to perform a UK 'out of the box' install of ZC.
At this time, I'm really just tring to get feedback from the 400 or so people who have downloaded previous UKZC templates to see if I've missed anything or gone 'too far' with the mysql file. (the counties and new countries - Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland, ROI, CI)
Having said that - in your case - when it comes to the upgrade - Don't upload the ZC_install directory. If you do you will get additional UK counties etc.
The file structure and the files I've changed will work in a 1.3.5 install without the need for the sql during an upgrade - hope that helps.
Kev
In your case
WARNING: New boxes found: ezpages.php
Perfectly normal in the standard ZC install
Well done sir!
Kev
can you check /zc_install/sql/plugins on the server and see if mysql_uk_template_base_1.3.5a.sql is in that folder please.
If it isn't - it was an upload problem.
If it is in there could you run a mysql export of the db and email it to me at the address you got the original notification.
Thanks
Kev
This problem arose on a server running
PHP Version 5.1.1
MySQL Server 5.0
Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks
Kev
The pounds as a currency is part of the standard Zen Cart installation routine - so that should have been there ??
Combined with the fact that you indicate that the layout boxes are not available this could be a case of the mysql update failed somewhere.
Could you let me have an url to check over please?
Also what is are your php and mysql versions?
Thanks
Kev
I've had a report of this error appearing during one install.
Anyone else getting this?

Maybe we can do away with " (Lewis, Uist, Skye) " - as people in Inverness-shire should know where they live?
