Topic: No County drop down

Hi

Just installed the UK template into a virgin 1.3 installation and everything seems to be fine - except if trying to register as a new customer there is only a blank county field - no drop down, and no matter what county I enter it always defaults back to Aberdeenshire.  I am sure I must have missed uploading a php file somewhere but I can't for the life of me find which one.

Any help greatly appreciated

Hi,
Let's go through the obvious things.
Have you installed the correct version of the UK template?

If you have have you double checked that you've uploaded all of the files AND run the sql file?

If both of these are OK we need to look at is the cart being used 'properly'.

If memory serves me Aberdeen is the first county in alphabetical order.
Have you tried typing in 'Essex' or 'Ess' and seeing if the system detects what you want to input?

I haven't seen this problem before.

Thanks for reply - have checked and double checked all the above.  Entering any county doesn't bring up the drop down and when I go back later (or look in the customer file) Aberdeenshire (which is the first county) is always shown.

However, since the site was in the first throes I have deleted the complete installation and am going to try again.  We already have a 1.2.6d site (but without your mod) which has been very successful and quite heavily customised but we are by no means experts at this php lark and so have probably made some simple installation error.

Will keep you posted if problem still exists after new install.
