The Association of Master Tradesmen aka AMTUK is a trade association helping the public avoid Cowboy Builders and Rogue Traders.
They limit their membership across the UK making sure they have tradesmen in every area.

Whether there is a problem that needs to be fixed or you have simply given your home a review and wish to make improvements or amendments AMTUK can help you with your requirements.
Loft Conversion?

A loft conversion can maximise the space in your property as well as increasing its re-sale value. A loft conversion that incorporates a bedroom and bathroom can add upto 20% to the value of your home. Why move when you can improve?

Remember to consider plumbing and heating, if you’re adding a 4th or 5th bedroom and only have one bathroom in your home by adding a second you will increase the value of your house further. If you're converting your loft into a bathroom, you will need to ensure that enough hot water can be provided by your boiler. The design of the bathroom will need to take into account where pipes and plumbing can be laid.
Costing anywhere between £12k – £40k, a loft conversion can be a big money maker also. Loft conversions can take approx 12 – 15 weeks and should be relatively undisruptive as the majority of work is all carried out on the roof and not to the inside of the house until a stair case is added.
There are 4 main types of loft conversion you can choose from which are, Dormer, Loft Window, Hip to Gable & Mansard, depending on the size of your property and the reason for the conversion will enable you to choose the correct type of conversion.
If you have decided that a loft conversion is what you require you now face the daunting task of finding a builder or loft converter you wish to carry out your vision. Searching your local directory or the internet will find you hundreds if not thousands of builders and loft converters who say they can do the work you require, now it all comes down to cost and trust. This is where the Association of Master Tradesmen can help.
AMTUK review every member making sure they have the correct experience, checking their previous work & references, and that they have valid Public Liability Insurance.
One phone call to AMTUK can mean the daunting task of finding a tradesperson with the skill and trust you require is easier than you think. AMTUK can provide up to 3 quotes ensuring you receive competitive quotes from professional tradesmen.
Rather than taking up your precious time trying to review each tradesman you have come across why not pick out new colours, furniture or simply put your feet up knowing that AMTUK have the exact same interests to heart as you do and will do all the hard work so that you don’t have to.
One half of Channel 4’s ‘Location Location Location’, Phil Spencer has spoken of being wary of adding solely for profit, advising the majority of house prices in the UK except London all carry a ceiling price and you won’t be able to achieve more.
At the Association of Master Tradesmen they can provide you with up to 3 tradesmen to quote on your work.

The Association of Master Tradesmen: What do they offer to contractors?

The Association of Master Tradesmen understands that in recent years the reputation of the building industry as a whole has been seriously damaged by so called “rogue traders.” Although unscrupulous traders represent a minority within the industry, their practices get widespread public attention. This is largely due to the fact that such tradesmen often target the most vulnerable people in society. This combined with the fact that a serious amount of damage can be caused to consumers by rogue traders has resulted in widespread distrust of the industry as a whole. This distrust is accentuated by the high level of popular television programmes dealing with this very issue. Such programmes often give consumers an exaggerated view of the prevalence of rogue traders within the industry.

Building companies and related trades must understand the concerns of consumers in the current market. Trust is a consumers main concern. Although price, overall impression and experience plays a major role in a consumers decision making process, trust remains the most important aspect of any consumers decision. If a consumer does not trust their contractor then all the other aspects they use to make a decision are irrelevant. The Association of Master Tradesmen (AMTUK) can help contractors build the trust they need.

AMTUK is an association of builders and related tradesmen. Members of the association have agreed to a strict code of practice. This code of practice sets out the way in which AMTUK expects its member to conduct their business. The code centres around fairness, transparency, honesty and quality of service.

Consumers who use an AMTUK member are asked to review the contractor at the end of any work completed under the AMTUK reviews procedure. These reviews help AMTUK to keep track on its members work and helps future clients sourced through the association to better judge individual members.

By displaying the AMTUK logo potential clients will know the contractor has gone through a rigorous process to ensure they meet the high standards of the association. These include reference checks, confirmation of qualifications and insurance documentation. These checks show consumers that the contractor is pro-actively setting themselves aside from the rogue's within the industry.

Membership in itself to the Association of Master Tradesmen can help increase a contractors conversion rates. Helping to convert enquiries in to clients, however AMTUK operates in a very different way than many other associations. As well as operating as an association, in the general sense, they also pro-actively market themselves to consumers generating thousands of direct enquiries. The enquiries generated by AMTUK are then passed to the associations members. This service sets the Association of Master Tradesmen aside from other similar organisations. As well as helping to build trust with clients sourced independently members are also offered enquiries generated through AMTUK's own marketing efforts.

If a contractor is looking for ways to increase their level of enquiries and consumers trust of their organisation, as a result increasing the amount of contracts they achieve then the Association of Master Tradesmen is seriously worth considering.

------------------------------------------

Association of Master Tradesmen

At the stage when you're weighing up purchasing some new breakfast bar stools it's fairly important that you know the measurement from floor to bench of your kitchen island or desk that the breakfast bar stools will be facing.

It is very simple to overlook this issue which will trigger the person sitting on the bar stool to be uncomfortable as there is a mismatch in surface peak and bar stool peak.

For instance an 850mm bar seat would greatest go well with an 1180mm counter. In general you should usually seek to permit for a difference in between the counter and also the bar seat of between 230mm and 330mm. Creating this quantity of gap will optimise the comfort of the person sat on the stool.

A typical bar counter peak is 1150mm so the most typical kind of bar seat which will suit this counter is an 850mm seat.

A more sophisticated chrome or other metal stool will go well with a much more sophisticated atmosphere such as a cafe or wine bar. Chrome gives a high shine hygienic look as opposed to timber and plastic which tend to look more practical than stylish.

Chrome tends to become associated having an european style.

It also has a flexibility to become useable al fresco as well as inside against the counter.

For those of you interested within the much more up-market approach, a stainless steel or aluminum stool, having a circular ringed footrest, is really a must for all cocktail bar lovers. These bar stools blend into almost any surroundings. With a young clientele, as the primary customer base, this atmosphere could be quick paced and the seating arrangements can change over the space of a night.

In this kind of situations, when bartenders often need to alter the pub arrangements to be able to facilitate customer requirements, it is important to have both a light-weight and sturdy seat.

The aluminum bar seat is ideal for such a task, as is lightweight stainless steel. These seats are not only remarkably light and therefore easy to maneuver, in compact environments, but they're also exceptionally durable, simple to clean and can be discovered at very reasonable prices.

Sofas are frequently used in bars to supply a much more laid back, low background music atmosphere that permits easier conversation.. With this in mind the seating arrangements should reflect this and it's therefore crucial to believe with the consolation of the customer.

Upholstered stools and chairs are essential for creating the correct ambiance and level of comfort to meet the consumer requirements. Even if the atmosphere reflects a more traditional really feel, as do some Irish bars, wooden seats with padded seats in no way detract from the really feel of the surroundings.

As well because the standard ninety centimetre bar chair, which is the average height for an typical bar top, all bars from small drinking holes to up-market wine bars have extra seating areas. Obviously, the standard size of bar seat would be inappropriate for such a bar table or lounge area.

As a result proprietors should usually have a stock of smaller seats for the lounge and seated region in the public bar. Generally, in most instances, only a fifty centimetre seat could be required to meet the comfortable table height. A great rule-rule-thumb for a desk stool would be to give approximately fifteen centimetres between the seat and table surface.

Whether its a modern breakfast bar you've or a traditional pine desk, kitchen chairs could be perfect for your seating needs. Conventional chairs or bar chairs can give that warm feeling that you simply had whenever you were languishing in your mother's kitchen. Instead a metal look can give class to any contemporary kitchen.

As with the pub chairs the height with the counter should be considered prior to buying any furniture. The standard breakfast bar is usually ninety centimetres so would mean that you use a seventy five centimetre stool.

When considering having a breakfast bar with a set of bar stools a guide is to have a 15 centimetre gap between the counter and also the chair to optimise comfort. Nevertheless, if you have conventional seating arrangements around a desk leave a 15 centimetre gap.

Why are Flash Games so popular?

The development of web-based graphics technologies such as Flash allowed browser games to become more and more complex. These games, also known by their related technology as "flash games", became increasingly popular. Almost everyone who makes use of the World Wide Web must have come across the term "flash games". Some of us play flash games occasionally, but there are people who really did made a passion in playing flash games. And who can blaim them?
Is true that flash games don't typically have great graphics or as long as traditional games, but there are many very fun and challenging ones if you look in the right places.

Doing a small research on the popular search engines will reveal the fact that flash games is a common term for which people are looking to find. There are many creative flash games on the Internet and almost everyone has played a flash game at least once. Even if most of them have limited multiplayer
play, often being single player games with a high score list shared among all players, the variety of games genre such as: adventure, shooting, action, puzzles, racing and many others, the fact they are free to play, easy to find do makes the flash games very popular and everyday they do attract a lot of players.

The first and probably the most important aspect of their popularity is the easy-access and cross-platform capabilities. In other words they can be played both online and offline and they do not require any client side software to be installed, apart from the web browser and common plugins such as Java or Flash Player.

Another aspect that makes online flash games so attractive to gamers of all ages, is the fact that you don't need to dig through tons of search results on the search engines to find what you are looking for, we can compare this experience to the one offered by video game consoles where you would actually have to spend time looking for the game which appeals to your interests and then buy the console plus the game, not to even mention additional add-ons and accessories. The relative ease that one has at finding a flash game of their choice is a big plus for this gaming industry. A common fact for flash games is that in generally they are very easy to understand and children hardly take any time to learn and comprehend them. Many people enjoy playing these games at work or during their lunch hours. The games have a mesmerizing effect on their players and they add a touch of realism to the environment or the situation in which the games are set up. Some of the online flash games give the player an impression that he/she is in a Hollywood show or in the streets of Las Vegas.

Flash games are a big source of fun for the people and there are cases in which these games are recommended by the medical professionals mainly for the mentally challenged children in order to develop their reflexes. Flash games have clearly given a big leap to the gaming industry as they are getting popularity day by day. Even if as we said flash games are free to play they are generating lots of revenue to those who are in the gaming industry. New categories and games are added to websites holding flash games from time to time, which give an amazing variety of choices for players. There are several online game competitions also available these days which are open for all gamers. One can participate in these competitions and win attractive prizes. So, if you love fun, play online flash games, these games are easily available from so many websites free of cost.

Everything from Space invaders to Tetris, Pacman, simulation, arcade, trivia and many others can be found through this gaming option online and they can be played without the need to spend a single dime. If you stop for a moment and remember the good old days when graphics and advanced controls didn't matter towards having fun, you will soon realize just how much value is involved with being able to access these games. Online flash games are a great way to experience the past in gaming, they offer these games for free and are easy to find. So if this is the gaming option you are looking for, flash based games are for sure an option you would want to look into.
